Auburn, ME – Child Hit & Injured in School Zone Collision on Minot Ave
Auburn, ME (October 3, 2024) – Maine State Police troopers are investigating after a 7-year-old was injured on Tuesday morning after being hit by a vehicle in a school zone crosswalk on Minot Avenue in Auburn. The Auburn Police Department said the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. in front of Fairview School when a crossing guard was stopping traffic with a sign with flashing LED lights. The driver, a 29-year-old man, allegedly failed to stop and hit the child in the school zone crosswalk.
The 7-year-old pedestrian was treated on-scene for apparent injuries and was transported by Auburn Fire and Rescue to CMMC for further evaluation.
