Berwick, ME - Fatality Occurs in Car Accident on Portland St

Berwick, ME (August 25, 2024) – A 67-year-old man was killed Saturday morning in a vehicle crash on Portland Street in Berwick near the intersection with Old Route 4, according to Berwick police.

The man, who has not been identified, was ejected from one of the vehicles involved and later died at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, authorities said. Police said the Berwick police and fire departments, along with Stewarts Ambulance, responded to the scene. The police departments of North Berwick, South Berwick, and Windham also assisted.

In the meantime, the crash is being reconstructed by the Kennebunk Police Department, but anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Berwick police. However, the incident is still under investigation, and authorities have not released any other details at this time.
