Burnham, ME – Fatal Auto Accident on Winnecook Rd Under Inquiry

Burnham, ME (June 21, 2024) – Local police reported that an 18-year-old man died in a car accident reported in the Burnham area on Wednesday morning, June 19.

Maine State Police and the Waldo County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash just after 5:00 a.m. According to Waldo County Lt. Cody Laite, the incident took place on Winnecook Road, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
