Clifton, ME (December 20, 2024) – According to local officers, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has identified the two people killed in a head-on crash in Clifton.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, the Penobscot Regional Communications Center received a report of a serious traffic crash on Route 180 in Clifton, also known as Rebel Hill Road. Members of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, Eddington, and Holden Fire Departments responded to the scene and found a two-vehicle crash.

On Friday, the two victims were identified as Matthew Dualan, 41, of Clifton, and Roger Brown, 85, of Otis. Both succumbed to their injuries during the crash. However, the investigation is ongoing, and no further details were released in the interim.
