Corinth, ME – Richard Smith Identified in Deadly Farm Crash on Beans Mill Rd

Corinth, ME (August 29, 2024) – Maine State Police troopers say that the man killed in a Corinth farm truck crash over the weekend has been identified. Richard Smith, 73, of Exeter, was killed in the incident, per officers.

Smith was apparently driving a farm truck on Beans Mill Road at about 4:25 p.m. Saturday when the incident took place near Exeter Road, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office. In the meantime, the events leading up to the incident are unclear, and officers did not say if anybody else was hurt in the crash. The accident is being reconstructed by the Corinth Police Department, but anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact officers.
