Dixmont, ME - Man Killed in ATV Accident near Firetower Rd

Dixmont, ME (November 3, 2024) – The Maine Warden Service is investigating a fatal ATV crash that happened Saturday, November 2, in Dixmont.

A 65-year-old man from Richmond was found dead as a result of the collision near an old tote road about one mile off Firetower Road, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife said in a news release. Shortly after noon Saturday, the Maine Warden Service responded to the scene to assist the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office in an investigation. The Dixmont Fire Department and Plymouth Fire and Rescue also assisted in the investigation. In the meantime, the inquiry is still ongoing, and no further details were released.
