Fairfield, ME (September 1, 2024) – Police are investigating a crash that left three people severely injured in Fairfield on Sunday afternoon, September 1.

Fairfield first responders were called to the intersection of Norridgewock Road and Middle Road at around 1:40 p.m. for a two-vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment, according to a news release from the Fairfield Police Department. An initial investigation revealed that a 2018 Chevy Equinox driven by an 18-year-old man from Chesterville was headed south on Norridgewock Road and was passing a vehicle in the opposite lane when he struck a 2018 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 38-year-old man from Fairfield headed north, police said. Also in the second vehicle was a 41-year-old Fairfield woman.
