Gray, ME – Justin Nsenga Killed By Truck Tire on ME Trnpke at Cumberland Co Line

Gray, ME (July 4, 2024) – A man from Old Orchard Beach is dead after police say a tire came off a truck on the Maine Turnpike and hit another car.

Police say a pickup truck hauled a camper trailer north on the Turnpike at about 11:30 a.m. Monday, near the Gray/Cumberland town line, a tire came off the back of the truck, went over the median guardrail, and hit a car headed south. The driver of the car, Justin Nsenga, died at the scene. The driver of the truck, a man from Quebec, and his four passengers were not hurt. The roadway was reopened later in the morning, but an investigation is still ongoing in the interim.
