Hollis, ME – Man Dies, Three Injured in Collision on Cape Rd

Hollis, ME (July 9, 2024) – Local police reported that a Saco man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Hollis on Tuesday. Maine State Police stated that they responded to a fatal crash near 661 Cape Road around 5:30 p.m.

According to officers, a Subaru Impreza driven by a 28-year-old Saco woman pulled into the oncoming lane to make a turn and was hit by a Dodge Ram driven by a 60-year-old Lyman man. Police say the driver of a Dodge Ram could not stop in time. A passenger in the Subaru Impreza, a 51-year-old man, died at the scene. The Subaru’s driver was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, and two other victims were assessed for unknown injuries at the site of the incident. In the meantime, the incident is still under investigation, and authorities say further details will be available in the coming weeks.
