Jefferson, ME (July 15, 2024) – Local police reported that three people were injured Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 17 in Jefferson.

Officials said the three had to be taken to hospitals after two vehicles swerved off the road just before 4:45 p.m. when a BMW sedan and a Toyota pickup truck attempted to pass a minivan. Four vehicles total were apparently involved, but the events leading up to the collision remain unknown. The three people hurt in the incident were ultimately taken to a hospital in Portland.
