Norridgewock, ME (May 23, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision in Norridgewock resulted in the death of a man from Fairfield on Wednesday afternoon, per the latest reports provided by local authorities.

According to a news release from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, Frederick Landry, 79, of Norridgewock, was operating a white 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck towing a homemade trailer on Ward Hill Road. He was allegedly making a left-hand turn into his driveway when he hit Brock Peters, 29, of Fairfield, on his red 2005 Yamaha motorcycle.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Officials added that Peters was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision; however, he was transported by ambulance to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, where he was declared deceased due to his injuries. The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office’s Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the incident and asked any witnesses to step forward.
