Oxford, ME – Trudy Giroux Identified in Deadly Car Crash on Rte 26 at Irving

Oxford, ME (July 25, 2024) – A woman from Norway died after a crash on Route 26 in Oxford, Maine, on Wednesday, July 24. Police say 65-year-old Trudy Giroux was leaving the parking lot of the Irving gas station just before 9:00 a.m. to head north on Route 26 when she was involved in a crash with a pickup truck headed south.

Authorities say that, despite life-saving measures attempted by EMTs, she died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.
