Motorcycle Fatalities in Maine

Motorcyclists favor Maine for its miles of coastline roadway, wide highways, and easy-riding streets. Maine is home to nearly 60,000 registered motorcycle operators, drawing visitors from across the nation. However, the incidence of motorcycle accidents that result in fatalities or severe injuries is on the rise as motorcycles become more prevalent. Tragically, the incidence of motorcycle accidents has increased over the past two decades, with particularly high rates in recent years, as indicated by data released by the Maine Department of Public Safety and the Bureau of Highway Safety.

Regrettably, this grim pattern is happening in all counties of Maine. The services of a personal injury attorney who is both knowledgeable and competent are required to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your legal options in the aftermath of a motorcycle accident. A significant accident may occur when a motorist disregards traffic laws or travels recklessly, such as passing on a blind curve.
