Unity Plantation, ME (May 10, 2024) - On Thursday in Unity Plantation, a head-on collision involving a flatbed truck towing a front-end loader claimed the life of a woman from Maine.

At about 9:45 a.m., the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office responded to a head-on collision with major injuries and one fatality on Waterville Road, commonly known as Route 139. A 72-year-old woman was killed in the wreck after being rushed to Northern Light Hospital in Bangor. The conditions of the other victims have not been released, however.
