Vassalboro, ME (November 23, 2024) – Officials with the Maine Department of Public Safety said the Vassalboro Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Saturday morning.

At around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday morning, Vassalboro firefighters were dispatched to a building on Main Street. A fire officer arrived on the scene minutes later and stated the building was fully involved with exposures nearby. Initial crews arrived on the scene and went into defensive operations to protect a two-story farmhouse that was around 25 feet away from the flames.
