Fatal Car Accidents in Maine
Tragically, severe injuries resulting from automobile accidents may occasionally result in fatalities. Of course, it is impossible to anticipate the tragic loss of a loved one in a severe vehicle accident. However, it is impossible to resurrect a loved one who was lost in an auto accident. Thankfully, you can hold the negligent driver accountable and obtain justice by submitting a lawsuit to obtain equitable compensation for your losses following a collision.
Burial and medical costs, loss of income or health benefits, and other issues may severely burden the families and victims of a loved one's wrongful demise. That said, when a deceased individual would have been eligible to pursue a personal injury claim had they lived, a wrongful death claim may be made in the state of Maine against the defendant. This usually refers to wrongdoing, negligence, or default on the part of another individual that causes another person to pass away.
