Woolwich, ME (June 13, 2024) – Two people were brought to the hospital following a crash in Woolwich that took place on Wednesday evening, per local authorities who responded to the scene.

Sagadahoc County dispatch reported that traffic was being diverted from the area of 1044 Middle Road following a serious vehicle crash. One person was reportedly transported by LifeFight helicopter from the scene, dispatch said. A second person was also brought to the hospital. Both of their conditions are unknown. A crew at the scene said Middle Road was closed from Old Stage Road to Dana Mill Road at approximately 8:15 p.m. Officials at the scene also noted that a crash reconstruction team had arrived and would likely work to clear the road for several hours. However, the crash is currently under investigation.
