York, ME – Teen Killed in Motorcycle Collision on Cider Hill Rd

York, ME (July 17, 2024) – A 17-year-old died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Cider Hill Road, according to police.

York police Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said police received a 911 call at 8:05 p.m. reporting a motorcycle crash with injury. When officers arrived, they found the 17-year-old and began rendering aid. The 17-year-old was then transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

The operator of the motorcycle succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, Rogers confirmed in a press release. The crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the York Police Department accident reconstructionist, and it's unclear how many people were involved or injured in the incident.
